Responsibilities
- Lead structured customer discovery through interviews, Client Services and Sales feedback, usage insights, and thematic analysis to identify needs and inform roadmap discussions.
- Translate customer, operational, and internal stakeholder needs into precise, detailed, and unambiguous product requirements.
- Ensure product workflows accurately reflect complex real-world processes, including case management, scheduling, billing, regulatory reporting, and back-office operations.
- Identify edge cases, dependencies, configuration impacts, and data implications early in the product lifecycle.
- Analyze usage information and customer feedback to identify underutilized features, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create AI-assisted functional specifications that are sufficiently complete for development teams to execute with minimal clarification.
- Develop and refine AI-enabled product workflows and contribute to the evolution of AI-directed development practices, tooling, and team processes.
- Translate customer problems into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, system requirements, and interactive mockups.
- Maintain and evolve UI/UX standards while supporting the modernization of legacy functionality into modern technologies.
- Own and continuously maintain the product backlog in alignment with platform priorities and roadmap objectives.
- Triage incoming requests and prioritize work based on customer value, delivery effort, operational stability, and strategic priorities.
- Partner with engineering leadership to balance new capabilities against technical debt, maintenance, and platform health.
- Improve triage efficiency and ensure incoming cases are appropriately assessed, valued, and routed within established timelines.
- Maintain a delivery-ready backlog that supports effective sprint planning and predictable execution.
- Act as the primary day-to-day product contact for the delivery team, resolving requirement gaps, priority conflicts, and blockers.
- Facilitate test planning and perform user acceptance testing against acceptance criteria and real-world workflows.
- Ensure release notes, documentation, and internal enablement materials are complete, accurate, and ready for launch.
- Partner with Client Services on change communications and monitor post-release adoption and feedback to identify follow-up opportunities.
- Treat product documentation as a core deliverable, creating materials that support AI-assisted development, defect resolution, knowledge transfer, and onboarding.
- Contribute to initiatives spanning legacy and modernized areas of the platform while maintaining alignment with longer-term UI, architecture, and ecosystem objectives.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar delivery-focused product professional, preferably within B2B SaaS.
- Demonstrated ability to create structured, detailed specifications that developers can implement with minimal additional clarification.
- Strong working fluency with AI development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or comparable platforms, including practical experience incorporating them into daily product workflows.
- Experience conducting customer discovery through interviews, feedback collection, synthesis, and translation of qualitative insights into prioritized product work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify ambiguity and independently produce specifications, user stories, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience with prototyping and mockup tools such as Figma or Balsamiq, combined with a strong understanding of effective UI and UX.
- Strong experience defining requirements for complex, workflow-driven, enterprise, or legacy-rich software platforms.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of requirements quality.
- Strongly preferred: experience championing or leading AI-directed development practices, including workflow design, tooling decisions, and team adoption.
- Strongly preferred: deeper UX capabilities, including design-system thinking, user research, and accessibility awareness.
- Strongly preferred: experience with product analytics, including feature adoption, usage telemetry, and funnel analysis.
- Experience in healthcare, education technology, or another regulated SaaS environment is advantageous.
- Experience contributing to legacy modernization initiatives and writing requirements that span legacy and modern architectures is a plus.
- Experience with hosted enterprise operational software supporting diverse customer workflows is beneficial.
