Responsibilities
- Shape the organization’s strategy for data, AI, analytics, and emerging technologies, prioritizing opportunities with the strongest organizational and mission impact.
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to identify challenges, clarify needs, and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
- Build and manage a prioritized portfolio of initiatives based on organizational value, feasibility, readiness, and measurable outcomes.
- Strengthen the use of metrics, reporting, analytics, and insights to improve planning, prioritization, and continuous organizational performance.
- Develop recommendations, governance practices, and implementation approaches that promote the ethical, secure, effective, and responsible use of AI and organizational data.
- Drive adoption of new tools and practices through clear communications, training, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and structured change-management activities.
- Build staff capabilities, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage experimentation and continuous improvement across teams.
- Coordinate initiatives involving diverse stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and evolving needs while maintaining alignment and momentum.
- Identify emerging opportunities where technology can improve organizational effectiveness and help scale mission-driven outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in strategy, analytics, organizational effectiveness, digital transformation, AI, data strategy, management consulting, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success leading initiatives involving technology, process improvement, organizational change, or data-driven decision-making across multiple teams.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and changing organizational requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Proven ability to influence decisions, build stakeholder alignment, and drive adoption without relying solely on formal authority.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accessibly to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing innovation with sound judgment, and developing structure around complex problems.
- Preferred Experience: Background in nonprofit, mission-driven, research, advocacy, or philanthropic environments; experience evaluating or implementing AI, analytics, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives; familiarity with business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization tools; exposure to data governance, responsible AI, privacy, or knowledge management; knowledge of climate, energy, environmental, or public policy topics; and experience working in globally distributed organizations.
Conditions
- Salary: U.S. anticipated salary range of $117,709–$147,000 per year, with final compensation based on experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and geographic location.
