About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director Enterprise Architect based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level, multi-technology architectural guidance and develop integrated infrastructure software and hardware solutions aligned with current and future business requirements.
  • Lead enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps across networking, data center and cloud, cybersecurity, collaboration, and software-defined infrastructure.
  • Architect end-to-end AI solutions, including secure AI factories, data architectures, and automation frameworks.
  • Translate client business requirements into holistic architecture designs, clearly defining components, interdependencies, deployment approaches, and operational considerations.
  • Engage in projects from inception through planning, requirements analysis, architecture validation, governance, and implementation oversight.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor and solution advocate, leading client discovery and partnering with sales teams to develop compelling solution and transformation strategies.
  • Shape win strategies, contribute technical insight to proposals, and demonstrate how solutions and services can deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead software lifecycle and licensing initiatives, including discovery, tracking, reporting, auditing, compliance, renewals, adoption, and optimization.
  • Support subscription and enterprise agreement strategies, identifying opportunities to improve license structures, commercial outcomes, and software value realization.
  • Manage and evaluate software licensing regulations, contractual requirements, and compliance obligations across major technology vendors.
  • Review renewal proposals, software purchases, and license agreements to identify optimization opportunities and ensure appropriate licensing for client requirements.
  • Lead transformation initiatives involving software license conversions, enterprise agreements, and optimized licensing models.
  • Monitor emerging infrastructure and AI technologies, vendor roadmaps, product developments, and industry best practices to inform future architecture strategies.
  • Improve architecture methodologies, processes, tools, and service offerings while sharing lessons learned across engagements.
  • Partner with client-facing teams to influence technology adoption and provide expert guidance on software licensing and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with executives, business sponsors, technical stakeholders, vendors, and strategic partners.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of industry experience in technical sales, direct or reseller channels, enterprise architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Significant experience working as a Solution Architect within a global IT services or technology services organization.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise digital infrastructure and major technology ecosystems, particularly Cisco and competitive offerings.
  • Proven experience designing and validating end-to-end infrastructure solutions across multiple technology domains.
  • Hands-on or strategic experience with AI solutions, including secure AI factories, data architectures, and automation frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in software asset management, software licensing, licensing compliance, adoption strategies, audits, and optimization.
  • Experience with licensing models such as perpetual, subscription, end-user, right-to-use, and enterprise agreements.
  • Familiarity with major vendor licensing structures and tools, including Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, and Palo Alto.
  • Experience evaluating software asset agreements, managing renewals, budgeting and forecasting, and optimizing technology investments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, configuration, supply chain, and infrastructure operating models.
  • Experience across industries such as financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic and tactical thinking and translate data from multiple sources into actionable opportunity and lifecycle management insights.
  • Significant contract management and negotiation experience, with a solid understanding of financial concepts related to software licensing and technology agreements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical and commercial concepts clearly to executives, business sponsors, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is preferred; TOGAF, COBIT, software-related certifications, or equivalent credentials are desirable.
  • CCIE or comparable technology certifications are strongly preferred.
