Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a strategic sales team, establishing clear objectives and providing coaching, direction, and ongoing performance development.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets through effective planning, execution, and team leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate strategic sales plans that support both short-term performance and long-term business growth.
- Manage the sales funnel and pipeline, maintain accurate revenue forecasts, and provide regular weekly and monthly updates to senior sales leadership.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and prospects to generate sustainable short- and long-term commercial opportunities.
- Develop account strategies and communicate key priorities, opportunities, and action plans to sales leadership on a consistent basis.
- Monitor developments across digital market segments and adapt sales strategies to changing customer needs, competitive conditions, and broader market dynamics.
- Collaborate with market planning, product, marketing, operations, and other internal partners to address customer needs and support sales execution.
- Lead appropriate internal escalations and coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve customer and sales-team issues.
- Identify and penetrate new accounts through consultative selling, relationship development, and a strong understanding of customer business challenges.
- Formulate and implement winning sales and marketing strategies that align solutions with customer requirements.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, recognition, and development of sales team members in accordance with organizational policies and applicable requirements.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer value, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in sales management, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver sustained revenue growth.
- Extensive experience in one or more digital market segments such as technology, payments, retail/e-commerce, fintech, cryptocurrency, prepaid debit, or merchant processing is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of sales and marketing principles, practices, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them to complex customer environments.
- Proven success developing and executing strategic sales plans and translating business objectives into measurable team results.
- Demonstrated ability to penetrate new accounts, expand existing relationships, and develop high-value customer opportunities.
- Experience with face-to-face consultative selling and needs identification across multiple levels of an organization, including senior decision-makers.
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and strategic account management capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, including experience hiring, developing, motivating, and managing sales professionals.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across an organization.
- Strong commercial judgment, adaptability, analytical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively to evolving market conditions.
Conditions
- U.S. National Base Pay Range: $144,200–$267,900 annually, with geographic differentials applying in certain locations.
- Location-specific base ranges include up to $308,000 annually in New York City, with other ranges varying by state and local market.
- Sales compensation may include variable pay; the mix between base and variable compensation depends on the sales role and should be discussed with the recruiter.
