This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Quality Assurance Engineer based in United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies, plans, test cases, and scenarios for both new and legacy applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, end-to-end, and data validation testing across complex software environments.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using Java, Python, JavaScript, or comparable technologies.
- Write complex SQL queries and validate data across SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring accuracy throughout application and system workflows.
- Validate data flows between applications, APIs, databases, file exchanges, and third-party systems.
- Test REST APIs, web services, and healthcare-related integrations using appropriate testing tools and methodologies.
- Partner with developers and product teams to reproduce defects, validate fixes, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall software quality.
- Support performance, scalability, reliability, and release testing activities to ensure systems meet business and customer expectations.
- Apply quality engineering best practices, risk-based testing approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.
- Ensure testing reflects healthcare and revenue cycle management workflows and supports reliable customer outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience testing database-driven applications and validating backend data.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience, including the ability to investigate and troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies.
- Experience testing REST APIs and web services using Postman, Newman, or comparable tools.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate complex software, database, and integration issues.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Healthcare, revenue cycle management, patient engagement, billing, collections, or related industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with telephony, SMS/texting APIs, or integrated communication technologies is a plus.
- Experience supporting performance, scalability, reliability, and release testing is advantageous.
- Strong interest in automation, scalable quality engineering, and continuous process improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
