Responsibilities
- Research and apply the latest machine learning and NLP techniques to solve business problems
- Experiment with new technologies and create proof of concepts to guide design and architecture choices
- Design and implement machine learning and NLP models to solve complex business problems
- Evaluate and produce robust and innovative machine learning models
- Work with large and complex data sets to extract insights and build predictive models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop solutions
- Work with the engineering team to deploy and enhance models at scale
- Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms and models for performance and scalability
- Build and maintain data pipelines for data preprocessing and model training
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing ML and NLP models
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms, techniques, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Confident Python developer with application best practices (modularity, unit tests, documentation)
- Fluent in ML libraries: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch
- Strong experience packaging and delivering ML models in production
- Familiarity with NLP techniques: text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis
- Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, SQL
- Proficient in Docker and advanced experience with DevOps tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
