About the company
Ziina is looking for a Finance Data Analyst to own operational reconciliations and build the data foundations that power Finance automation. This is a data role sitting inside Finance.
Responsibilities
- Own operational reconciliations end to end, matching transaction-level data between product ledger, payment gateways, acquirers and settlement reports
- Run the reconciliation engine day to day: monitor outputs, investigate breaks to root cause (timing cut-offs, FX, duplicates, reversals, missing settlements)
- Define and refine exception logic (match, flag, escalation) and absorb new product flows
- Automate reconciliations and Finance processes using SQL and the data platform
- Build and own the Finance dashboard for cash, burn, runway and managerial P&L; automate the weekly burn tracker
- Create shared definitions for revenue, TPV, rebates and chargebacks across systems
- Ensure reconciled data flows into month-end close and the new ERP
- Document Finance data, integrations and reconciliation logic
Requirements
- 3–5 years in a data analyst, analytics, BI or operations analytics role with high-volume transaction data
- Strong SQL daily: complex joins, window functions, reconciling datasets from different sources
- Investigative mindset, cross-checking sources
- Ability to explain assumptions and limits of every number
- Experience building/maintaining reports, data models or dashboards
- Spot manual work and automate it
- Clear concise written communication
- Based in or open to relocating to the UAE
Nice to have
- Payment flows experience: gateways, acquirers, settlements, wallets, refunds, chargebacks
- Building/running reconciliation or matching processes
- Python or similar scripting
- Metabase, Looker, Mode or similar BI tool; Snowflake or cloud data warehouse
- Experience with month-end close, ERP systems or ERP migration
