Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core design system components, evaluation frameworks, and feedback loops
- Establish reusable components, design tokens, interaction patterns, visual standards, guidelines
- Define and uphold high-quality design standards for AI-generated interfaces
- Ensure design system decisions translate into production code
- Integrate accessibility, responsive behavior, and performance by default
- Establish contribution guidelines, governance, and deprecation processes
- Collaborate with designers and engineers, incorporate feedback and usage data
- Share AI tools, workflows, and best practices across teams
Requirements
- 8+ years in design engineering, design systems, product design, or front-end engineering
- Demonstrated experience delivering a design system or component library (portfolio required)
- Strong interaction and visual design skills
- Experience with design tokens, theming systems, accessibility standards
- Regular use of AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make)
- Ability to review, debug, and validate AI-generated code
- Strong technical judgment and attention to detail
Conditions
- Annual base salary CAD $151,300–$195,800
