About the company
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Learner Platform Experience based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Own the core learner platform experience across college students, alumni, working engineers, and learners participating through partner institutions.
- Translate learning, retention, and engagement objectives into a clear, prioritized product roadmap and measurable outcomes.
- Apply AI throughout the product development workflow to accelerate research, prototyping, requirements, analysis, experimentation, and delivery.
- Own AI-assisted learner experiences end to end, including taking products such as AI tutoring and AI grading capabilities from prototype through production.
- Determine where AI can accelerate learning effectiveness, productivity, and scale, and where human interaction is critical to maintaining learner motivation and progress.
- Collaborate closely with Curriculum, Learning, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure the platform effectively supports live instruction and asynchronous engagement.
- Establish a high standard for product design, usability, and engaging interactions across every learner touchpoint.
- Define the metrics and experiments needed to demonstrate improvements in learning rate, engagement, and retention at scale.
- Conduct user discovery and use qualitative and quantitative insights to validate priorities and guide major product decisions.
- Mentor and influence cross-functional teams while creating alignment around product strategy, trade-offs, priorities, and execution.
- Operate with significant ownership in an environment where documentation, processes, and roadmaps may need to be created from the ground up.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning and improving live products used regularly by customers or learners.
- Demonstrated experience scaling an existing product while maintaining or improving quality, engagement, and user outcomes as adoption grows.
- Strong AI-native working practices, with the ability to demonstrate how AI has materially accelerated your product workflow, including prototyping, analysis, requirements, and decision-making.
- Experience managing products where engagement, retention, learning, or other user outcomes are primary success metrics rather than feature delivery alone.
- Strong product judgment and the confidence to form clear, well-reasoned opinions, defend strategic bets, and make explicit trade-offs under pressure.
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and independently structure complex problems without relying on an established playbook.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define meaningful product metrics, interpret data, design experiments, and use evidence to make decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create product requirements that engineering teams trust and communicate strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and alignment-building skills across product, engineering, data, curriculum, learning, and other functional teams.
- Familiarity with modern product tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hex, Figma, Framer, SQL, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or comparable technologies is preferred.
- Experience in edtech, learning platforms, consumer education, or learning science is advantageous.
- Experience with AI tutoring, adaptive learning, personalization, or similar AI-enabled learning products is a plus.
- Founder experience or experience building products in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is expected.
- Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification; demonstrated impact and strong product judgment are highly valued.
