Responsibilities
- Facility and physical security: Own ICEYE Portugal's facility security programme: physical access control, secure-room build-out, visitor management, alarms, CCTV and key management. Drive the office's NATO Restricted readiness audit with GNS and prepare for higher classifications. Run the secure handling of classified material. Partner with the CEO, Head of People & Operations, and the local IT Site Engineer on the Class A office fit-out.
- Personnel security and clearances: Coordinate national security clearance applications (GNS / ANS) for the CEO, FDEs and other cleared roles, and maintain the cleared-personnel register. Run security on-boarding and off-boarding for every employee and visitor: NDAs, security awareness, classified-handling training and access provisioning.
- Information and cyber security: Partner with ICEYE Oy Security leadership and HQ IT to translate the global cyber baseline (endpoint, MDM, network, identity) into local controls. Lead local incident-response coordination: classified leaks, lost devices, social engineering and suspicious foreign-contact reporting.
- Vendor and supply-chain security: Vet and onboard local vendors against ICEYE security standards. Run periodic security audits on key suppliers.
- Programme and customer security interface: Be the named security interface to the Portuguese Air Force, GNS / ANS, NATO and the Portuguese Space Agency. Support the FDEs on customer-site security questions during the SAR / SIP deployment, maintain the local security policy library, run the annual security training programme, and contribute to ICEYE's global security community of practice.
Requirements
- Formal Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Security Manager experience in defence, aerospace or critical infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of physical security standards (locks, alarms, access control, CCTV, secure rooms) and information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2).
- Hands-on experience running or actively supporting national clearance processes (GNS / ANS) and NATO classification frameworks (NATO RESTRICTED minimum).
- Active or recently held Portuguese national security clearance, or unambiguous eligibility to obtain one quickly.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Portuguese.
- Pragmatic, calm under pressure, comfortable with ambiguity and matrix reporting (Security, CEO).
- Basic IT literacy sufficient to coordinate with the local IT Site Engineer on secure-area technical requirements (network segmentation, air-gapped systems).
- Nice to haves: Prior background as a non-commissioned or commissioned officer in the Portuguese Armed Forces, GNR, PSP, or SIS / SIED. Experience with sovereign or accredited cloud (NATO RESTRICTED, EU RESTRICTED) and export-control regimes (Wassenaar, dual-use EU 2021/821). Familiarity with Portugal's cyber regulator (CNCS) and NIS2 implementation.
