About the company
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Project Manager: Digital Payments based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management and delivery of an assigned workstream within a larger, multi-team digital payments program.
- Coordinate technical and cross-functional teams to keep the MVP rollout on schedule and support a successful transition into production.
- Drive V2 definition and scoping by working with stakeholders to clarify business needs, technical requirements, priorities, and delivery expectations.
- Apply tactical technical analysis to understand system details, dependencies, constraints, and implementation considerations rather than focusing solely on schedules and status reporting.
- Track milestones, progress, dependencies, resource needs, and timelines across the workstream.
- Identify risks, blockers, and delivery issues early, escalating appropriately and partnering with technical leads to develop effective solutions.
- Facilitate alignment across engineering, business, program, and client stakeholders around status, decisions, priorities, and tradeoffs.
- Translate complex technical information into clear updates and actionable decisions for non-technical stakeholders and program leadership.
- Support team scaling by contributing to workforce planning, onboarding, and integration of additional engineers as the workstream grows.
- Provide clear, concise reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to senior program leadership and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to a disciplined, collaborative delivery environment focused on successful MVP rollout and sustainable V2 development.

- Professional experience in financial services, with exposure to payments, credit, debit, ACH, or related financial transaction systems.
- Background in software engineering, technical project delivery, systems analysis, or another discipline providing strong technical fluency.
- Experience working with products or systems where an MVP is already in flight and the focus is shifting toward production rollout, scaling, and next-phase definition.
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical details, investigate issues, and work effectively with engineering and technical leadership.
- Experience scaling teams, including planning for additional resources and onboarding new engineers.
- Familiarity with AWS and modern cloud-based technology environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage dependencies, competing priorities, and changing requirements.
- Clear, precise, and confident communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across business, engineering, program, and client teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; candidates without a degree may qualify with additional specialized training and/or progressively responsible technology experience equivalent to the missing years of college.
