• Partner is looking for an Arabic (Levantine) Language Expert – Freelance AI Trainer Project based in India.

Responsibilities

• Interact with advanced AI language models in Levantine Arabic across a broad range of subjects and conversational scenarios.
• Evaluate linguistic accuracy, including vocabulary, phonetics, morphology, syntax, grammar, idiomatic expressions, and regional dialect variations.
• Assess whether AI-generated responses accurately reflect cultural context, local references, conversational norms, and intended meaning.
• Identify and document model failures involving contextual interpretation, semantic accuracy, dialect distinctions, and cultural nuance.
• Produce clear, reproducible examples of linguistic errors.
• Analyze model responses critically and explain the reasoning behind linguistic judgments and corrections.
• Recommend improvements to prompt engineering, language evaluation criteria, and assessment methods.
• Contribute specialized linguistic knowledge to the development of AI systems.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Arabic, with deep understanding of Levantine Arabic dialects, colloquial expressions, grammar, and cultural references.
• Excellent knowledge of linguistic structures, including phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics, and contextual language interpretation.
• Ability to distinguish regional dialect variations and assess subtle differences in meaning, tone, and cultural relevance.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Clear, structured communication skills and ability to document findings.
• Master’s degree in Linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, Translation, or related discipline preferred.
• Professional experience in language teaching, translation, linguistic documentation, or community-based language work is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote freelance environment.
• Access to a secure computer and reliable high-speed internet connection.

Conditions

• Fully remote freelance contract.
• Hourly compensation ranging from $8 to $65 USD, depending on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
• Contractor arrangement; company-sponsored health insurance and paid time off are not included.
• Secure computer and high-speed internet provided by the contractor.
