Responsibilities
- Design and guide the development of software architectures that meet business objectives and technical requirements
- Lead architectural discussions, introduce effective design patterns, and provide guidance on critical technical decisions
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to align software architecture with business priorities
- Establish and promote engineering standards including code quality, security, scalability, performance optimization, and maintainability
- Conduct code reviews and champion software development best practices
- Mentor and support software engineers
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving system design, application behavior, and performance
- Research emerging technologies and develop proofs of concept
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, system design, and implementation decisions
- Improve software development workflows, DevOps practices, and delivery processes
- Identify opportunities to use AI-powered tools and automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on software architecture and system design
- Advanced knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong proficiency in database design and technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and Redis
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers
- Proven ability to use AI tools and automation strategically
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
