Responsibilities

• Design and implement architecture, systems, and infrastructure to support substantial product growth.
• Build and operate the AI agent runtime: orchestration, memory management, verification mechanisms.
• Own end-to-end product development across backend services, infrastructure, frontend, and AI agent functionality.
• Transform prototypes into robust, maintainable production systems.
• Define technical vision with the founder, evaluate architectural trade-offs, select technologies.
• Establish engineering standards, development practices, and quality standards.
• Ship enhancements regularly, respond to user feedback, prioritize improvements.
• Improve AI system reliability: agent workflows, evaluations, memory systems, verification.
• Operate with broad ownership, balance immediate needs with long-term scalability.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience delivering production software, or equivalent track record as founder/independent builder.
• Hands-on experience building and operating LLM applications or AI agent systems in production.
• Full-stack capabilities: backend, infrastructure, frontend.
• Strong software architecture skills: data models, runtime architecture, orchestration, infrastructure.
• Practical understanding of agent workflows, memory systems, evaluation methods, verification techniques.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with independent technical decision-making.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, analytical thinking, debugging, system design.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, prioritize, iterate rapidly, make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Comfort working directly with a founder and contributing to product strategy.
• Currently based in Europe and willing to relocate to San Francisco within the first year.

Conditions

• Annual base salary €80,000–€140,000 depending on experience.
