Security Consultant

About the company

• Position listed on behalf of a partner company that manages all applications and next steps.
• Partner is looking for a Senior Security Consultant based in the United States (Remote).

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned security design tasks aligned with project scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Support the Security Consultant Lead with updates on progress, deliverables, budget performance, risks, and scope changes.
• Monitor project hours and budget performance using Deltek and escalate issues proactively.
• Identify out-of-scope requests and coordinate change order requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Level 1 and Level 2 Security Consultants.
• Develop, review, and coordinate security design documentation including RFIs, RFQs, submittals, and quality control reviews.
• Support BIM coordination, document management, and collaboration with MEP disciplines.
• Use Bluebeam and other design tools to prepare markups and track documentation updates.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client engagements.
• Complete timesheets and project documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing low-voltage and communication systems for buildings.
• Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Experience using Revit for design development and coordination.
• Strong technical documentation, design review, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, identify project risks, and communicate issues proactively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Preferred: RCDD certification or active progress toward it; degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
