About the company
SumUp's Credit Management team keeps our subscription and hardware financing business healthy across five European markets: France, Italy, Spain, DACH and the UK. In the UK and Ireland market, growth in subscription sales and the launch of "Installment from the Shop", our new self financing option for hardware purchases, has significantly increased the number of open payments that need active follow up. You'll be the dedicated point of contact for the UK and Ireland market, working closely with Sales, Customer Success and Customer Care teams to resolve overdue payments and keep customer accounts on track.
Responsibilities
- Contact merchants by phone and email to collect overdue subscription payments and negotiate repayment agreements
- Respond to billing, payment and subscription queries raised by the Customer Success and Customer Care teams
- Manage cases in the Finance Salesforce queue in line with agreed service levels
- Process cancellation requests and other administrative account changes accurately and on time
- Collaborate with external debt collection agencies on more complex cases
- Read and interpret financial information across SumUp's platforms, primarily Salesforce
Requirements
- Fluency in English at native or near native level
- Experience in a customer facing role that involved negotiation, sales conversations or payment collection
- Comfort working with Excel and financial or administrative data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a natural, sales oriented approach
- Genuine energy and willingness to learn, with an interest in building a career in finance or credit operations
- Nice to have: experience with Salesforce or Tableau, and additional fluency in German, French or Italian.
