Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks solves their business problems
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proof of concepts for strategic customer projects
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications
• Promote Databricks open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) across developer communities
• Travel to customers in your region

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required due to contractual requirements supporting U.S. Public Sector customers
• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Comfortable programming and debugging in Python and SQL
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Desired: degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research)

Conditions

• Pay range: $219,100 – $301,300 USD
• Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits
