Responsibilities
Develop and maintain prototype applications and proofs of concept using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
Contribute to the design and implementation of user experiences for web applications, digital cartographic visualizations, and interactive map-based workflows.
Assist in prototyping and experimenting with novel web-based maps, scenes, and spatial data visualizations.
Work with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Svelte, or Vue to build targeted, stand-alone web applications and reusable UI components.
Collaborate with core development and SDK teams during release development sprints.
Explore and apply emerging web visualization capabilities, including WebGL and browser-based real-time visualization.
Evolve coding and development skills by staying current with JavaScript, TypeScript, complementary programming languages, development practices, coding tools, and user interface design techniques.
Requirements
2+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript; TypeScript experience preferred.
Experience with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies.
Experience with code management systems and CI/CD.
Foundational understanding of digital cartography, data visualization, or geospatial application development.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field.
Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25–50%.
