Responsibilities
- Design and architect comprehensive data center infrastructure solutions covering networking, storage, compute, security, and related systems.
- Develop technical strategies, roadmaps, and architectural frameworks aligned with business and infrastructure objectives.
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center projects while managing timelines, budgets, resources, and technical priorities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and infrastructure evaluations to identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure data center designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, security frameworks, and best practices.
- Mentor technical teams by promoting engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze infrastructure performance, efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization strategies for data center environments.
- Manage vendor relationships and assess third-party solutions for infrastructure components and services.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in data center architecture, infrastructure design, or related technical roles.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams across complex infrastructure projects.
- Deep expertise in data center design, deployment, operations, and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, compute systems, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure architectures.
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure programs with multiple stakeholders and delivery requirements.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, including modern infrastructure integration strategies.
- Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and develop scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Strong project management, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, ANSI/TIA, and Uptime Institute.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM.
- Experience with data center projects and building-related developments such as commercial, residential, institutional, or hospitality projects is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent infrastructure credentials are preferred.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices, energy efficiency, green technologies, and data center security frameworks is a plus.
