Responsibilities

• Build and grow a high-performing team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentorship
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high engineering standards
• Partner with Product, Design, and other engineering teams on roadmap priorities
• Occasionally review and contribute code
• Drive operational excellence through engineering processes and incident management
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical quality and scalability

Requirements

• 8+ years building and operating large-scale platforms or multi-tenant systems
• 5+ years managing engineers
• Strong technical foundation: system design review, data model challenges, infrastructure tradeoffs
• Proven ability to translate business goals into technical strategy
• Track record establishing trust, psychological safety, clear expectations
• Strong facilitator in technical conflict; clear communicator
