Responsibilities
- Join the critical Account Integrity team, dedicated to safeguarding our platform against sophisticated financial crime.
- Leverage cutting-edge machine learning, real-time transaction monitoring, and advanced data analysis to create robust controls and detection capabilities.
- Build and refine critical controls to protect Wise customers' accounts from account takeovers.
- Drive backend and frontend for crime prevention and detection systems (80% backend, 20% frontend).
- Deliver tangible, real-world impact by securing customers' money and accelerating product growth.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework.
- Experience building and designing scalable web applications that handle large amounts of traffic, ideally using React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, distributed, and concurrent systems.
- Strong product mindset, accountability, and ability to drive projects independently.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and designing resilient schemas.
- Exceptional fundamentals, sharp problem-solving ability, and commitment to Test Driven Development.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts across teams.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle.
Conditions
- Starting salary: £87,500 - 111,000 + RSUs.
