About the team
Web Presence and Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars: Presence creates designs for Stripe's front door surfaces, and Platform builds the internal machinery that powers these surfaces.
The Expansion pod focuses on user journeys, interactive tools, and targeted experiences for global users.
Responsibilities
Work closely with other engineers, pairing, mentoring, and building a culture of excellence.
Build beautiful, best-in-class end-user experiences to solve complex problems.
Utilize, maintain, and extend design systems.
Integrate the web platform with self-serve authoring and experimentation.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant web front-end development or creative technology experience at a tech-forward, product-driven company.
Experience writing clear, elegant code in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Passion for engineering solutions focused around growth hacking & enablement.
Preferred qualifications
Understanding of formal design elements including typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
Experience building highly complex interactive tools, including state management and data fetching.
Proficiency with React, with a focus on interactions, animation, performance, and polish.
Experience with A/B testing, synthetic monitoring, or accessibility testing.
Conditions
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users.
