Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns that other engineering teams build on
- Manage production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including performance tuning and service mesh implementation
- Lead security and compliance work across frameworks such as PCI DSS and SOC2, partnering with the Security team
- Define and monitor service reliability metrics, take part in on-call rotation, and drive improvements after incidents
- Improve developer experience through automation, better CI/CD pipelines, and clearer documentation
- Mentor other engineers on the team and contribute to technical design discussions
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering
- Proven hands-on experience in software development (Go preferred, but anyone would be good)
- Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes in production, including cluster operations and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, and load balancing
- Comfort working within security and compliance requirements without slowing teams down
- Ability to mentor other engineers and explain technical decisions clearly to different audiences
