This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Account Manager based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own sales performance across a named portfolio of approximately 30–40 commercial accounts throughout Ontario, consistently working to exceed measurable sales targets.
- Develop and execute consultative sales strategies that address customer needs across hybrid cloud, legacy IT modernization, networking, data center, campus, Wi-Fi, monitoring, detection, and security environments.
- Build trusted relationships with key influencers, technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and C-level executives, clearly communicating the business value of proposed solutions.
- Partner with systems engineers and technical resources to design, position, and present solutions that address customer requirements while improving performance and reducing total cost of ownership.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts.
- Establish and manage productive relationships with technology partners and channel organizations to generate opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
- Create strategic and tactical account plans informed by regular business reviews with prospects and customers.
- Lead demand-generation activities, including customer events, technology forums, lunch-and-learns, and other initiatives that create engagement and pipeline.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing colleagues to share best practices, coordinate territory initiatives, and strengthen customer engagement.
- Monitor technology trends, partner offerings, competitive solutions, and market developments to continuously refine sales strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 5 years of technology sales experience.
- Demonstrated success selling directly to commercial accounts within a defined territory and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Relevant experience in data center or networking technologies, gained through a technology vendor, competitor, channel partner, or end-user organization.
- Established relationships and a strong professional network within the Ontario territory, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Proven ability to prospect, develop new accounts, expand existing customer relationships, and operate with a strong hunter mentality.
- Strong technical understanding and sales experience in one or more areas such as networking, SDN, NFV, switching, network automation, routing, data centers, edge computing, network virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, or cloud computing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation abilities, combined with the confidence to act as a trusted advisor.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, partners, sales colleagues, and senior customer stakeholders.
- A proactive, results-oriented, collaborative approach, with integrity, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to customer success.
- Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and have experience selling complex networking solutions in the region.
