About the company
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Precisely/Evolve MDM Analyst based in India.
This is a hands-on Master Data Management role focused on improving the quality, consistency, and reliability of critical enterprise data.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and continuously optimize the Precisely/Evolve platform for data quality, enrichment, matching, and survivorship across customer, vendor, and product master domains.
- Design, build, test, and deploy data quality rules, enrichment workflows, and matching and survivorship logic based on business requirements.
- Monitor platform and pipeline performance, identify processing gaps or failures proactively, and implement improvements that increase data accuracy and throughput.
- Evaluate new Precisely/Evolve capabilities and product updates and assess their relevance to the data environment.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering workflows, configurations, data quality rules, and platform processes.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Precisely/Evolve, supporting user onboarding, training, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.
- Apply MDM principles to define data standards, field-level validation rules, hierarchies, source-of-truth logic, and quality thresholds.
- Design matching and survivorship rules based on business context, clearly determining which records should prevail and understanding the downstream impact of incorrect logic.
- Partner with data owners to translate master data standards and domain requirements into technical rules, validation logic, and platform configurations.
- Support data stewardship across customer, vendor, and product domains, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy across connected platforms.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to understand domain-specific needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Work with IT teams on integration design and ensure Precisely/Evolve outputs are correctly delivered to downstream systems, including SAP.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Precisely, formerly Syncsort/Trillium, or Evolve, including platform administration, workflow configuration, and data quality rule development.
- Demonstrated Master Data Management experience across customer, vendor, and/or product/material master domains, with exposure to all three considered a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to design matching, survivorship, and enrichment logic from first principles rather than simply maintaining pre-built configurations.
- Strong experience identifying data quality gaps and proactively implementing platform, process, and governance improvements.
- Experience with SAP master data management, particularly Material Master, Customer Master, and/or Vendor Master, is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, or data integration middleware is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Knowledge of SQL or equivalent querying tools for data analysis, investigation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Understanding of data integration concepts, including API-based and batch data flows.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across international teams and time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in beauty, retail, or consumer packaged goods environments is preferred but not required.
Conditions
- Full-time contract engagement with a 6-month initial duration and potential opportunity for contract-to-hire.
- 100% remote work from anywhere in India.
- Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week.
- 8-hour workday with working hours from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM IST.
- Opportunity to work as a Precisely/Evolve MDM subject matter expert within a global, cross-functional environment.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale master data management across customer, vendor, and product domains.
- Opportunity to work with SAP-connected data environments and contribute to data quality and integration initiatives.
- Scope to drive platform optimization, process improvements, and data governance practices.
