This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer - React & 3D based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance modern web applications supporting immersive XR, 3D, and collaborative workflows.
- Build scalable frontend solutions using React.js or Next.js and integrate them with enterprise cloud platforms and services.
- Develop multi-user 3D web experiences using Three.js, Babylon.js, or comparable graphics frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Software Engineers to research, prototype, validate, and deliver innovative product capabilities.
- Architect and implement full-stack solutions, including backend services and cloud integrations where required.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets.
- Build high-performance, responsive, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces following modern engineering practices.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, testing, code reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to technical architecture discussions and help establish engineering standards across the development lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues while maintaining high standards for application quality, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Work with cloud services, including Amazon S3, and support applications deployed through modern cloud environments.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure technical solutions align with product goals, user needs, and enterprise requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with substantial experience building modern web applications.
- Strong proficiency in React.js or Next.js, with advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing full-stack applications using cloud deployment models.
- Practical experience with Three.js, Babylon.js, or similar 3D graphics frameworks.
- Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or comparable communication technologies.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS and modern frontend development practices.
- Experience designing, consuming, and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with cloud services, particularly Amazon S3.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with product, design, and engineering stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, product-focused environment and take ownership of technical outcomes.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is an asset.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, containerized application development, and enterprise-scale cloud-native architectures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AR, VR, or MR technologies is a plus.
