About the company

Our partner is looking for an Electrical Engineer PE III based in United States. This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for a licensed electrical engineer responsible for delivering complex engineering designs and studies.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct electrical engineering activities for complex projects, ensuring designs follow engineering best practices, applicable standards, and National Electrical Code requirements.
  • Serve as the Engineer of Record and provide technical authority for electrical designs, studies, engineering solutions, and project deliverables.
  • Support project managers with project budgets, execution plans, construction cost estimates, schedules, and other planning activities.
  • Deliver electrical engineering work within established budget, schedule, scope, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare engineering documents, including study reports, drawings, specifications, addendums, proposal requests, and supplemental instructions, including stamped and signed documents where required.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and career development support to electrical engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD technicians.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering communications with project teams, clients, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines to develop integrated and practical design solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings, site investigations, surveys, and documentation of existing conditions.
  • Support quality assurance reviews across project disciplines and promote consistently high technical standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and approve electrical engineering standards, tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Act as a technical focal point for electrical engineering and design teams, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Partner with project leadership to deliver a strong client experience and uphold high standards of engineering excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license with at least 10 years of experience following PE licensure.
  • Proven experience designing large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams executing complex electrical engineering design projects.
  • Experience designing healthcare facilities and higher education projects.
  • Experience with Central Energy Plant electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical experience designing medium-voltage protection and power distribution systems.
  • Experience designing paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within integrated, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Current industry awareness and understanding of relevant market and competitive dynamics.
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel approximately 20–25% of the time to project sites and office locations.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a computer or desk and occasionally stand, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
  • Ability to adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
