Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists and Designers to define, refine and implement features.
• Work with DevOps to build frameworks and tools, define standards (e.g., API contract) and improve CI/CD and codebase hygiene (Git).
• Solve complex engineering problems to improve scalability, security, and reliability of the platform.
• Hands-on programming and architecture design with willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree.
• Min. 5 years of experience in similar roles; tech start-up experience is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, RESTful/RPC services, C++/Java/Golang; Golang is a plus.
• Experience with NoSQL (Redis/MongoDB), message queues (Kafka/Kinesis), and relational databases (MySQL).
• Experience with Docker and basic CI/CD flow on AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with AI tools in the development process and building backend systems to support AI functionality.
• Strong understanding of system performance and scaling.
