Responsibilities
- Execute qualification and acceptance vibration ("shake") tests for new satellites and subsystems, and design and build the satellite-level qualification mass model
- Design, build, and maintain the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) needed to test and integrate the new generation of spacecraft
- Lead flight model integration for the new spacecraft generation, creating AIT procedures and transferring knowledge to the production team
- Feed testing and integration findings back to the design engineering teams and drive resulting design changes
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with mechanical AIT and test campaigns
- A can-do attitude and hands-on engineering mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working under pressure and tight timelines
- Experience with vibration testing and mechanical validation of hardware, and designing MGSE for satellite testing
- Proficiency with CAD tools, and ability to create and interpret manufacturing drawings
Nice to haves:
- Experience in aerospace or satellite hardware development
- Hands-on experience in satellite assembly
- Familiarity with finite element analysis tools to support test setup validation
