Responsibilities

• Own the design system in Figma and design decisions across the ClickHouse ecosystem
• Work with contributors and consumers of Click UI to improve the system and drive adoption
• Communicate designs through wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups
• Partner closely with product managers and engineers as an embedded collaborator
• Use AI tools to accelerate workflow and improve code and design quality
• Contribute to design feedback sessions with stakeholders
• Advocate for product quality and user experience

Requirements

• Strong visual design fundamentals and experience building and maintaining a design system
• Experience designing for complex software applications, ideally B2B SaaS or developer tools
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, prototyping, and design systems
• Frontend engineering skills: CSS, React, TypeScript, comfortable in a real codebase
• Experience owning products end to end with developers and product managers
• Enthusiasm for AI tools in design and engineering workflows
• Preferred: multi-brand design systems, designing IDEs or developer tooling
• Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Copilot, Figma MCP, v0), open source contributions, GitHub presence
