Our partner is looking for a D365 Finance Integration Architect based in United States. This role serves as a technical anchor for modernizing a core financial platform within a complex federal environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and support system-to-system interfaces connecting Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations with external applications and services.
- Architect secure integration patterns using REST APIs, OData, Custom Services, and JSON/XML-based web services.
- Lead and support large-scale financial data migration activities, including extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Migrate historical financial information such as subledger, refund, reconciliation, and related records from legacy platforms into the modern D365 environment.
- Develop automated validation and reconciliation scripts to verify data integrity and identify migration discrepancies.
- Translate business and operational requirements related to filing fees, refunds, accounting workflows, and other financial processes into appropriate technical and application configurations.
- Support D365 Finance configuration and integration decisions to ensure solutions meet operational requirements and long-term modernization objectives.
- Establish and maintain technical configurations aligned with federal security standards, delivery frameworks, and authorization milestones.
- Apply D365 Finance & Operations development expertise to customize and extend applications using X++, AOT objects, classes, forms, and batch automation.
- Support environment lifecycle management through Microsoft Lifecycle Services and CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with development, integration, data, security, and agency stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams and communicate integration risks, dependencies, and architectural decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives that reduce dependence on heavily customized legacy applications and establish scalable, maintainable financial technology foundations.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizens are not eligible.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of hands-on technical architecture and development experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or senior-level Dynamics AX 2012 environments.
- Advanced proficiency in X++, including AOT object customization, classes, forms, batch job automation, and related D365 development practices.
- Strong development experience with C#/.NET and enterprise application integration.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large-scale ERP data conversions using DMF/DIXF, including automated validation and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of service-based integration architectures, including REST APIs, OData, Custom Services, JSON, and XML web services.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Lifecycle Services (LCS), environment management, and CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, data migration, system architecture, and secure application development.
- Ability to understand financial processes and translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to explain complex integration challenges to development teams and technical requirements to agency stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, functional, security, and business teams.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700) or Developer Associate (MB-500).
- Experience implementing enterprise automation using Power Automate, including Cloud Flows, Desktop RPA, and custom connectors.
- Familiarity with core financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
- Experience working with federal, regulated, or compliance-driven financial environments.
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements applicable to federal technology implementations.
