About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Sales Manager - Southwest based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Drive regional sales performance against established quotas through direct selling efforts and distribution channels.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans designed to increase surgeon and distributor adoption of bone graft and orthobiologic solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with orthopedic and neurosurgeons, independent distributors, hospital stakeholders, and other healthcare partners.
  • Serve as a consultative resource on bone biology and product utilization for surgeons, distributors, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with hospital and ASC Value Analysis and Purchasing Committees, including participation in RFP processes.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing management of independent distributors in partnership with commercial leadership.
  • Provide distributor coaching, field sales support, and training to improve regional performance and customer engagement.
  • Maintain existing business by supporting surgeon customers and attending surgical procedures when required to provide product-use guidance.
  • Identify new opportunities for revenue growth, product adoption, and improved commercial performance across the territory.
  • Develop and maintain a strong, sustainable sales pipeline using CRM and forecasting tools, while providing accurate sales forecasts and tactical plans.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and influential orthopedic and neurosurgical professionals throughout the region.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, product acceptance, and new product developments to inform territory strategy.
  • Follow up on marketing initiatives and provide market feedback on campaigns, messaging, and customer response.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, contact information, activity reports, and other relevant commercial documentation.
  • Deliver presentations to surgeons, clinical teams, distributors, and other stakeholders, and represent the organization professionally at industry and commercial events.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and broader cross-functional teams to support commercial initiatives and continuously improve market reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external procedures supporting product delivery, supply chain reliability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 4–6 years of successful sales experience, preferably within a fast-growing commercial organization in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or a related healthcare field.
  • Demonstrated and quantifiable record of sales achievement, ideally supported by a portfolio of measurable results.
  • Clinical background or experience working closely with healthcare professionals is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in spine surgery and/or osteobiologics is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with orthopedic or neurosurgical customers and understanding clinical purchasing environments is advantageous.
  • Experience with CRM systems and the ability to manage customer records, sales pipelines, and forecasts effectively.
  • Experience with medical or hospital credentialing is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling, territory development, customer relationship management, and distributor/channel sales.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with surgeons, hospital stakeholders, and commercial partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of operational discipline.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative sales organization.
  • Ability to analyze market opportunities, identify growth potential, and translate insights into practical sales strategies.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, with travel of up to 70%.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with field-based medical sales activities, including periods of driving, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items of 50 pounds or more when required.
Conditions
  • Base salary range of $120,000–$150,000 USD.
  • Projected first-year incentive compensation of $100,000–$140,000, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
  • Target total compensation range of $220,000–$290,000 USD.
