Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and delivery ownership for a team of software engineers building and operating scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Drive architecture decisions, engineering best practices, and solution design across Spring Boot microservices, OpenSearch platforms, CI/CD, observability, and AWS infrastructure.
- Lead AWS cloud adoption and modernization initiatives, ensuring solution scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Support incident resolution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineers and develop technical talent.
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and other stakeholders to align technology investments with business goals.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required and 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a lead role.
- Backend development: Java (latest version preferred), Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, and API Integration.
- Cloud & infrastructure: AWS (ECS/Fargate, IAM, ALB, RDS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager), Cloud Architecture, Distributed Systems, and Infrastructure as Code.
- DevOps & delivery: Docker, CI/CD, GitHub, DevOps practices, and Observability.
- Data & search: SQL/NoSQL databases and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
- Emerging tools: Performance Optimization and AI-assisted Development Tools.
- Soft Skills: Technical leadership and ownership, with the ability to mentor and coach engineers and develop technical talent. Strong communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Collaborative problem solving, critical thinking, and sound decision making. Adaptability and conflict resolution skills that support successful delivery of complex, cloud-native solutions.
