- Partner is looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Refinery - TSI based in India
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary mechanical engineering contact for assigned refinery assets
- Investigate emerging equipment issues and support maintenance and operations teams
- Design permanent and temporary repair solutions for piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers
- Apply relevant ASME and API standards to equipment design, repair, integrity assessments
- Use knowledge of corrosion damage mechanisms and failure modes
- Apply reliability principles when assessing equipment condition
- Support piping and pressure vessel design, fitness-for-service assessments, field engineering activities
- Assist asset maintenance teams in maintaining preventive maintenance plans
- Provide mechanical engineering and integrity input for planned asset outages and turnaround activities
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, inspection, and other engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience (total range 5–12 years)
- Prior experience as a Mechanical Engineer at an oil refinery in an onsite environment
- Working knowledge of refinery processes: distillation, heat transfer, fluid systems
- Good understanding of piping components and systems
- Practical application of ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, ASME PCC-1/PCC-2
- Familiarity with NBIC, API 570, API 571, API 510, API 579 Level 1
- Awareness of inspection techniques such as RT, UT, PT, MT
- Awareness-level understanding of metallurgy and welding processes
- Exposure to Management of Change processes, SAP, GE APM
- Ability to support shift schedule 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
