Responsibilities
  • Set the strategy, operating model, roadmap, and priorities for global financial control across reporting and compliance, tax, financial operations, and vendor management and procurement.
  • Ensure NetSuite and the Cloud Data Warehouse provide consistent, transparent, and trusted financial information across the business.
  • Lead the financial control automation and AI agenda, including the data foundations, definitions, documentation, and operating rhythms needed to make automation a lasting capability.
  • Provide senior oversight across record-to-report, statutory reporting, tax, payroll, and vendor management and procurement. Step in on escalations, complex judgement calls, and cross-functional trade-offs while empowering the functional leaders to own delivery.
  • Represent financial control to the SVP, Executive team, Board, and external auditors, and act as the primary escalation point and trusted partner for the four functional leads.
  • Lead the North American payroll outsourcing transition from vendor governance through to business-as-usual handover, with a strong focus on compliance and operational risk.
  • Partner with Strategic Finance, Strategy and BizOps, Legal, People, and Engineering on finance systems, process design, risk, compliance, reporting, and financial insight. This role does not own forecasting or planning.
  • Own and evolve financial policies, procedures, and control frameworks so they scale with Culture Amp’s complexity and growth.
  • Lead, develop, and build succession depth across a team of finance directors and managers, creating a strong and connected team culture.
  • Support financial due diligence and transaction readiness for M&A activity, including data-room delivery, carve-out or integration accounting, and post-deal financial control integration.
  • Champion the use of Culture Amp’s platform and other automation and AI tools in Finance, acting as an internal advocate for Customer Zero practices.
Requirements
  • Significant experience leading a global financial control or controllership function in a fast-growing SaaS or technology business, including multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Deep technical accounting and financial reporting expertise, including consolidation and external audit management.
  • A proven track record in finance transformation, systems modernisation, and process automation, such as ERP transitions, close automation, or RPA, with measurable efficiency gains.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and technologies, ideally gained in a modern, highly automated, and systematised finance environment.
  • Experience overseeing global tax and payroll compliance, or partnering closely with specialist teams to manage risk.
  • Experience setting a multi-year strategy and target operating model for financial control or controllership, not just executing an existing plan.
  • Demonstrated people leadership through periods of growth and change, including building high-performing teams and succession depth.
  • Experience with financial due diligence or M&A, including data-room management, carve-out or integration accounting, and post-deal control integration, or equivalent transaction-readiness experience.
