About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Staff Product Manager, eCommerce based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy, quarterly objectives, success metrics, and business case, communicating progress, risks, and milestones to executive leadership and finance stakeholders.
  • Define and manage the unit economics that determine launch readiness, using performance data to make informed decisions about scaling, pivoting, or stopping initiatives.
  • Establish clear product priorities and make disciplined scope decisions, balancing the potential opportunity set against available team capacity.
  • Partner with sales, go-to-market, and account teams to define ideal customer profiles, develop launch strategies, onboard customers, and translate customer feedback into roadmap priorities.
  • Represent the product in customer discussions and strategic industry partnerships, building credibility with sophisticated advertisers, agencies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering and machine learning teams to define experimentation roadmaps, evaluate A/B test results, and make data-driven go/no-go decisions.
  • Analyze full-funnel performance from advertising impressions through site visits, add-to-cart activity, and purchases, identifying opportunities for optimization and further investigation.
  • Establish traffic quality, creative experience, suppression, and inventory standards that protect advertiser outcomes and product performance.
  • Own identity and attribution strategy, including consent management, regional privacy considerations, data protection, measurement methodology, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop strategic technology partnerships and integrations that strengthen measurement, attribution, and product capabilities.
  • Lead e-commerce platform integrations end-to-end, covering pixels, server-side event delivery, order attribution, catalog ingestion, and merchant-facing installation experiences.
  • Defend and communicate the product’s attribution and incrementality methodology to sophisticated performance marketers and agencies.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including meaningful experience in performance advertising, such as DSPs, retargeting platforms, measurement/MMP products, ad networks, or e-commerce advertising.
  • Deep practical knowledge of web and mobile identity and attribution, including probabilistic matching, IP and device signals, pixels, server-to-server postbacks, browser privacy changes, ITP, fingerprinting protections, and Apple ATT.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a product from beta to general availability, including at least one situation where data led you to recommend stopping or materially changing a product or initiative.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a 0-to-1 environment involving funded pilots, hands-on customer engagement, rapid iteration, and explicit go/no-go criteria.
  • Strong experimentation expertise, including the ability to interpret confidence intervals, evaluate experiment design, challenge assumptions, and make ship/no-ship decisions under uncertainty.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with experience influencing engineering, machine learning, go-to-market, sales engineering, creative, and finance teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Experience with e-commerce ecosystems such as Shopify, including app approvals, privacy APIs, webhooks, product catalogs, feeds, or merchant-facing tools, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with server-side integrations such as Meta Conversions API or Google Enhanced Conversions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of incrementality testing, multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, and common attribution approaches and debates within performance marketing is preferred.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to build, communicate, and defend unit economics cases with senior executives.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, judgment, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a high degree of ownership and comfort operating independently.
Conditions
  • Competitive base salary, with ranges based on location:
  • San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, Seattle, and New York City: $230,000–$280,000 per year.
  • Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Boston: $211,000–$257,000 per year.
  • Other approved U.S. locations: $198,000–$240,000 per year.
  • Equity as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Health, vision, and dental benefits.
  • Fully remote work within eligible U.S. states, with a preference for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone.
  • Flexible remote-first working environment with access to U.S. hubs where applicable.
  • Opportunities for in-person project meetings, regional gatherings, and company-wide events.
  • Quarterly in-person team gatherings designed to support collaboration, communication, and team building.
