Responsibilities
- Treat the internal developer platform as a product. Define roadmaps, manage backlogs, and prioritize features.
- Drive and contribute to our culture of operational and business efficiency: secure code, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, regression testing, uptime, and blameless root-cause analysis.
- Design and promote "golden paths" that standardize development, deployment, and testing.
- Attend operational review meetings and bring postmortem learnings back to the team.
- Coach and mentor people, and drive recruitment, training, and development of top-tier talent.
- Collaborate with PMs, technical leaders, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and execute cross-team initiatives.
- Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, including participating in second-layer support rotations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional work experience in software development.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience coding in Golang, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience driving software architecture and design of large-scale distributed applications.
- 6+ years of people management experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Jenkins, ArgoCD, Temporal, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Solid background in application and system programming, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Linux system administration.
- Deep understanding of security, reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of distributed systems on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
