This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer (Android) based in Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement features for Android applications, focusing on performance, reliability, usability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define, design, and deliver new mobile capabilities.
- Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and external services.
- Perform application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high code quality.
- Participate in planning and review meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Stay current with new Android technologies, mobile development practices, and industry trends.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes, engineering practices, and application quality.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience developing Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
- Familiarity with Git and modern version-control practices.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical challenges creatively and efficiently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience with iOS development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing and DevOps practices is desirable.
- Experience contributing to large-scale applications or high-demand environments is a plus.
- Participation in technology groups or professional communities is desirable.
