Responsibilities
Build and ship UI across the Checkmate mobile app and desktop browser extension.
Turn designs into production UI matching spacing, type, and motion.
Own loading, empty, and error states, transitions, and interaction feedback.
Work with Product Design Lead and Head of Marketing.
Build extension UI that works on thousands of retailer sites.
Keep app and extension fast, lightweight, and consistent across browsers and devices.
Build and maintain shared, reusable components.
Set front-end standards through code reviews, accessibility, and performance.
Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude) to move faster.
Requirements
3-5 years building production front-end with a portfolio of shipped consumer UI.
Strong skills in TypeScript and React.
Experience shipping UI for mobile apps and/or browser extensions in React Native.
Solid fundamentals in responsive layout, animation, accessibility, and front-end performance.
Track record of building reusable components.
Clear communication with designers, marketers, and engineers.
Bonus: App Store and Google Play release experience, Chrome extension (Manifest V3) experience, motion and animation chops, or time at a consumer shopping or rewards product.
