Platform Engineer

• Seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer based in Canada

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal developer portals and self-service infrastructure
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources using Terraform or Crossplane
• Build, optimize, and standardize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Argo CD
• Manage containerized applications and microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog
• Integrate security-by-design principles, implement RBAC, and establish automated compliance checks
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, reliability, and automation

Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or related discipline
• Strong understanding of internal developer platforms, developer portals, and self-service infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Crossplane
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, or comparable technologies
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, secure-by-design, RBAC, and infrastructure governance
• Strong automation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with software developers and cross-functional teams
