Our mission is to build a world-class Device Management platform that supports the diverse needs of all Toast customers.
As a member of the Android Systems team, you will bridge the gap between hardware and software to build the foundational platform for Toast POS devices.

Hands-on design and implementation of Android system applications in Java or Kotlin that power Toast's device management suite, including device policy enforcement, out-of-box device setup, and firmware and app updates.
Build features with a heavier focus on background services than UI, designed to run reliably on devices with little to no user interaction.
Support bring-up of new Toast hardware and OS upgrades by making sure our system apps work as expected on each device type.
Expand our end-to-end automated testing framework using Robot Framework to validate our apps against real Toast hardware and reduce manual regression testing.
Investigate and debug production issues across Toast's device fleet.
Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, QA, and other Software teams to build scalable systems.
Make solid technical decisions, keeping software quality, security, and maintainability in mind.
Requirements
3+ years of Android application development experience.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Proficient in a modern object-oriented programming language such as Java or Kotlin.
