Senior Software Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer (Golang/Terraform) based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build scalable backend systems and reliable cloud infrastructure in a modern product engineering environment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and software solutions using Golang.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code solutions that enable consistent, secure, and reliable cloud environments.
• Develop APIs, microservices, automation tools, integrations, and other technical solutions aligned with business and project requirements.
• Translate solution designs and project requirements into secure, maintainable, and production-ready implementations.
• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure and application resources.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, security teams, and other developers to deliver complete and integrated technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, well-tested code and infrastructure configurations that follow established engineering, security, and development standards.
• Use AI tools such as Claude to streamline engineering tasks, improve work quality, and identify new opportunities to integrate AI into everyday workflows.
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Conduct code and Terraform configuration reviews to promote quality, consistency, security, and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex application, deployment, and infrastructure issues across development and production environments.
• Improve application performance, infrastructure reliability, and deployment efficiency through automation, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables while communicating project progress, technical risks, dependencies, and challenges clearly.
• Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, presentations, coaching, and knowledge sharing across the wider engineering team.
• Maintain a consultative approach by aligning technical solutions with client expectations and long-term business objectives.

• Hands-on experience developing software solutions and backend services, with strong proficiency in Golang.
• Practical experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, including building reusable modules and automating cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, automation, integrations, and modern software development practices.
• Full understanding of the software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities across application, infrastructure, and deployment environments.
• A consultative mindset with the ability to understand client objectives and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance daily engineering work, or a strong willingness to experiment with, learn, and champion AI-driven development practices.
• Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification is highly preferred, with opportunities to obtain relevant certification through the organization.
• Ability to oversee projects and successfully execute assigned technical deliverables while managing priorities and dependencies.
