About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Federal Financial Business Analyst Junior based in United States.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the modernization of federal financial management through data, technology, and process improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of client business objectives, federal financial operations, processes, and strategic priorities.
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, requirements, data structures, and organizational decision-making needs.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and collaborative working sessions to identify business challenges and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Recommend business, technology, data, and process solutions that improve operational efficiency, reporting, and financial outcomes.
  • Analyze financial and operational data, using business intelligence and analytics tools to generate actionable insights.
  • Review policies, system structures, and operating procedures to assess their impact on financial and business processes.
  • Guide clients in adopting solutions that strengthen operational effectiveness, reporting capabilities, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, budget subject-matter experts, and other interdisciplinary teams to ensure business, data, and technology requirements are aligned.
  • Produce high-quality documentation throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements traceability matrices, functional design documents, design documentation, user guides, training materials, and online help.
  • Develop test plans and business use cases, coordinate test execution, and support the resolution of identified issues.
  • Help improve solutions through data-driven analysis, stakeholder feedback, and continuous process refinement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in federal financial management, business process analysis or management, data analytics and reporting, management or technology consulting, operations analysis, or strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience working with federal government financial data and processes.
  • Experience performing data analysis, reconciliation, exception resolution, and business process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience deploying financial planning or business intelligence applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is preferred.
  • Experience with application testing, business and data modeling, or enterprise solution implementations is advantageous.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new employment-based immigration sponsorship.
Conditions
  • Fully remote, U.S.-based position.
  • Competitive annual salary range of $83,300–$138,800 USD, determined by factors such as location, experience, skills, education, certifications, and applicable contract requirements.
