- Define the long-term vision and strategy for Systems Foundations, ensuring we have plans in place to continually invest in the core pieces of a high-performance, realtime game engine.
- Take ownership of the engine-related content in the public Creator Analytics creators use to monitor the experiences on Roblox, ensuring we’re delivering actionable insights.
- Work with the Creator organization to define and drive end-to-end performance workflows for our creator community, such as connecting data that feeds Creator Analytics into Roblox Studio and our Microprofiler API and skill.
- Partner closely with the client application teams to drive alignment on joint performance improvement programs, platform expansion efforts, and more.
- Champion data rigor, working with Data Science to identify opportunities and measure the efficacy of our work.
- Think outside the box, working closely with engineering, to consider how the latest advances in AI, architecture, and more combine to deliver step-function improvements.
- Go hands-on to bring the roadmap to life partnering with engineering leadership to ensure all features are built and deployed successfully.
- Mentor and elevate the product culture within the team, fostering an environment of rigorous thinking, experimentation, and relentless customer empathy.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion spent in technically deep products.
- Technical Fluency: A strong technical background (CS degree or equivalent experience) with the ability to discuss low-level architecture, C++, OS fundamentals, and similar with engineering partners. You’ve written multi-threaded code at least once and gone dining with philosophers.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to define a multi-year product vision and rally large, cross-functional teams (Engineering, Data Science) behind it.
- Entrepreneurial drive: You have a "Founder" mindset. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, making high-stakes decisions with limited information, and driving projects from vague concepts to global launch.
- Highly Analytical: Proficiency in defining and tracking complex metrics. You use data to find the "signal in the noise."
- Executive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can explain complex technical topics to non-technical executives and define detailed technical specs for engineers with equal fluency.
- Experience with UGC platforms is a strong plus.
