WSU Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support institutional reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using Power BI and other reporting tools
- Assist with data model development and maintain understanding of database structures and relationships
- Validate reporting results, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data-quality issues
- Respond to data requests, collaborate with stakeholders to clarify reporting needs, and document reporting processes
- Assist with projects and special assignments, maintain compliance with laws and college policies, protect confidential information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, data analytics, or a related field
- At least one year of experience developing reports and semantic models in Power BI
- At least one year of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or a related area
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Preferred: experience developing SQL queries
- Preferred: experience with student-level data in higher education
- Preferred: working knowledge of Ellucian Banner
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud databases and/or ETL processes
- Preferred: experience with R or Python
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
