Responsibilities
- Lead the next generation of UIs at Adyen, building Dynamic/Agentic UI components in Vue/Preact that adapt in real time beyond static dashboards
- Design performant Java services that orchestrate data pipelines and integrate with Agentic workflows to handle tool-use, chain execution, and state synchronization
- Set engineering standards for the team and company. Provide mentorship through problem decomposition, research methodology, and code review
- Architect the security and policy enforcement layers for Agentic workflows, maintaining strict financial data privacy
- Collaborate directly with Product Management to identify high-impact merchant workflows
- Own your code in production. Monitor live performance, minimize end-to-end streaming latency, champion security compliance
- Build robust evaluation frameworks, latency-optimized streaming, and observability layers
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in a fast-paced technology environment
- Currently operating as a Senior Software Engineer (or equivalent level)
- Deeply proficient in Java for high-concurrency backend services
- Experienced with Vue/Preact for complex, stateful web applications
- Hands-on experience with production-grade Agentic AI integrations, including policy layers, evaluation frameworks, RAG architectures
- Security-first mindset
Conditions
- Base salary: $198,000 - $293,000 plus RSUs
