Our partner is looking for a Clinical Business Analyst specializing in oncology to support a large-scale healthcare technology transformation initiative. This is a remote contract opportunity based in New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate oncology-related business and system requirements
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinical specialists, and technical stakeholders
- Conduct business process analysis and gap assessments
- Support the design and development of standardized oncology order sets, CPOE workflows, clinical documentation templates
- Develop detailed solution designs, process maps, use cases, user stories, and business analysis documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to align clinical requirements with technical capabilities
- Build, configure, validate, and test clinical content within enterprise Clinical Information Systems
- Support the deployment of standardized clinical workflows across acute-care environments
- Identify and document requirements involving pharmacy, medical imaging, laboratory services
- Prepare and maintain workflow documentation, user guides, training materials
- Coordinate with project teams across multiple workstreams
- Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and support knowledge transfer
Requirements
- University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or comparable role involving oncology requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use-case analysis, business process analysis, solution design
- Minimum 5 years of experience with large-scale acute-care EHR or CIS platforms
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst on healthcare information system implementation projects involving oncology
- Knowledge of oncology workflows, standardized order sets, CPOE, clinical documentation templates, workflow design, clinical content management
- Ability to perform requirements elicitation, business process mapping, gap analysis, requirements validation, use-case development, user-story writing, detailed solution design
- Experience building, validating, testing, and implementing clinical content within enterprise healthcare information systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement
