About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director of Growth – Salesforce Practice based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic business development, opportunity identification, capture, and growth initiatives focused on expanding the federal Salesforce portfolio.
  • Own and manage the Salesforce opportunity pipeline, including qualification, prioritization, forecasting, account planning, and executive reporting.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development and account-growth strategies across federal civilian, Department of Defense, and state and local government markets.
  • Leverage established relationships with government stakeholders, acquisition officials, decision-makers, industry influencers, Salesforce Account Executives, partners, ISVs, resellers, and integrators to identify and accelerate opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce practice leadership to identify target accounts, prioritize strategic pursuits, and develop long-term public-sector growth strategies.
  • Research and shape new opportunities using market intelligence, procurement data, customer relationships, and knowledge of government acquisition priorities.
  • Apply deep Salesforce and low-code/no-code platform knowledge to connect customer mission challenges with relevant technology solutions.
  • Lead complex federal capture and proposal efforts, including solution development, proposal strategy, competitive positioning, and pursuit execution.
  • Direct proposal development to ensure alignment with solicitation requirements, federal evaluation criteria, and internal quality standards.
  • Author and contribute to RFIs, white papers, technical approaches, management plans, staffing plans, executive summaries, oral presentations, and other pursuit materials.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across business development, capture, proposal, technical, and delivery functions throughout the full opportunity lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coach business development and proposal team members, promoting disciplined capture practices, continuous improvement, and strong execution.
  • Represent the organization at Salesforce public-sector events, federal industry conferences, government trade shows, and other strategic industry engagements.
  • Monitor emerging procurement models, market trends, and Salesforce platform developments to identify new avenues for growth.
  • Perform other strategic business development and growth responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Salesforce or a comparable low-code/no-code enterprise technology environment, with a strong focus on public-sector business development, federal capture, and proposal development.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, shaping, capturing, and winning U.S. federal government contracts.
  • Strong expertise with Salesforce or comparable platforms such as ServiceNow, Appian, Pega, or other enterprise low-code/no-code technologies.
  • Proven experience leading winning proposals and capture efforts for federal civilian and/or Department of Defense programs.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal acquisition processes and contract vehicles, including IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, and agency-specific procurement mechanisms.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce capabilities such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related platform solutions.
  • Established relationships across the federal marketplace, including government clients, acquisition stakeholders, industry partners, and Salesforce ecosystem participants.
  • Understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile.
  • Ability to articulate technical capabilities, organizational vision, and mission value propositions to executive, technical, and government audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with substantial experience developing RFIs, white papers, proposals, executive briefings, and oral presentation materials.
  • Strong strategic thinking, opportunity-shaping, negotiation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required.
  • Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience with Salesforce Agentforce for Public Sector or related public-sector solutions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with emerging acquisition models such as OTAs, OTPs, SBIRs, and STTRs.
  • Preferred: Existing relationships with public-sector Salesforce Account Executives and federal civilian agencies.
  • Preferred: Salesforce Administrator, Associate, or other relevant certification.
  • Willingness to earn and maintain relevant Salesforce certifications as the platform evolves.
Conditions
  • Estimated starting salary range of $200,000–$250,000, with compensation commensurate with experience.
