Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop: Recruit, hire, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of exceptional engineers. Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes professional growth.
- Ensure Technical Excellence: Establish and maintain rigorous standards for technical quality. Ensure the team delivers reliable, scalable, and secure solutions in adherence to Roblox's engineering principles.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and other key stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Contribute to Strategy: Participate in the development of the overall capture and sharing strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation and expansion, and strategically prioritize projects that maximize value for our user base.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Instill a culture of ongoing learning and improvement within the team. Encourage experimentation, knowledge dissemination, and the adoption of new technologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a leader of successful engineering teams responsible for building new product or platform features.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to deconstruct complex challenges into manageable components, coupled with the requisite project management skills to drive projects to successful completion.
- A long-term strategic perspective, balanced with the practical ability to implement timely, short-term solutions to launch systems and gather user feedback, informing superior long-term planning.
- Experience developing consumer-facing applications, supported by a strong platform-thinking mindset.
Conditions
- Annual Salary Range: $345,040 — $399,420 USD
- Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday
