This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SDET Lead – Mobile, Web & AI-Driven Automation based in Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build scalable test automation frameworks from scratch for mobile and web applications
- Establish reusable automation components, technical standards, and best practices that support maintainability and reliable test execution
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of automation solutions and complex engineering challenges
- Develop and maintain automated tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium 2.x and relevant platform-specific tools
- Apply technologies such as UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode to support effective mobile testing
- Build and maintain web automation suites using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver
- Develop test automation solutions using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Integrate automated test suites into modern continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent solutions to accelerate development, optimize frameworks, and improve code quality
- Drive technical decisions and establish consistent automation engineering standards
- Mentor and guide engineers through framework implementation, technical problem-solving, and effective testing practices
- Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and delivery considerations clearly to clients and internal engineering teams
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with mobile test automation using Appium 2.x across Android and iOS
- Practical knowledge of UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Android SDK, ADB, and Xcode
- Strong web automation experience using Playwright or Selenium WebDriver
- Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Proven experience architecting and building test automation frameworks from the ground up
- Practical experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent tools
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including the ability to make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and mentor other engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
